What this site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Effective date: [to be set at launch]
This Privacy Policy describes the information collected when you visit this website or contact me through it, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. Please review it carefully. By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the site.
This is the privacy policy for justinrmassey.com only. It is not the privacy policy of MassMutual or MML Investors Services, LLC. Those firms maintain their own policies, which govern the information they collect directly.
Two kinds of information are collected through this site.
If you complete the contact form or email me, I collect what you choose to send: typically your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write about your situation. Nothing on this site requires you to create an account.
Like most websites, this site may automatically collect technical information such as your browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you visit, and the general location suggested by your IP address. On its own this information does not identify you.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or detailed health or financial records through the contact form or by unencrypted email. If a conversation calls for that information, we will use a secure method to collect it.
This site may use cookies, which are small text files placed on your device, to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors use it. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work. To learn more about managing cookies, see www.allaboutcookies.org.
Information collected through this site is not sold, and it is not rented or traded for marketing purposes.
Industry standard safeguards are used to protect information submitted through this site. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Information is retained for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as applicable recordkeeping rules require, after which it is disposed of securely.
You may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for corrections, ask for deletion where the law allows it, and ask to stop receiving messages at any time. Residents of some states, including California, have additional rights. To make a request, contact me using the details below. Your request will be handled in line with applicable law.
This site contains links to websites that I do not operate, including BrokerCheck and Form CRS. This policy does not apply to those sites. A link is not an endorsement. Please review the privacy notices of any site you visit.
This site is not intended for children. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, if I learn that information has been received directly from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, that information will be used only to inform the child or their parent or guardian that the site cannot be used, and it will then be deleted.
This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated policy.
